A comedy acappella band from the elusive village of Pocket, combining beautiful close harmony singing and quirky songwriting with much laughter. Beth (runs the village shop), Jonathan (from The Crippled Pigeon), Oliver, (local farmer), and Al (the vicar) join together in writing and singing songs about food, trees, life and raffles, along with new arrangements of Lennon & McCartney, Flanders & Swann and Louis Armstrong. Lots of laughter, original topical songs and and improvised singing, understanding village life. (We have been promised a song about pot-holes following their recent successful performance at Cliffords Mesne!) Four experienced unaccompanied singers touring Britain and bringing harmony one village at a time.
“Bill Bailey meets the Archers” “Utterley quirky and hugely engaging …very silly and very clever” “Just brilliant” “Tom Lehrer crossed with The Bonzo Dog Doo Daa Band” “…captivated by their seamless harmonies, inventive songwriting, and infectious laughter…”
” they were much funnier than I thought they would be”
