What’s On

The Almshouse Allstars step in for  The Jigantics on Friday 26th April 7pm

Sadly, due to an accident to one of the band, The Jigantics can no longer perform for us on Friday 26th April. We wish the band member a speedy recovery, and hope to see The Jigantics back on top form with us, hopefully in the autumn.

We didn’t want to let our loyal audience down, so have found a replacement for you who have very kindly offered to play for us at such short notice. We are really pleased to welcome The Almshouse Allstars, and hope that you will welcome and enjoy this band just as much!  https://www.wysonlanemusic.com/almshouseallstars

The Allstars present their swing show, with classic interpretations of the ‘swing ‘ songs and tunes of the jazz age. This includes songs by Billie Holiday, Al Bowly, and Louis Armstrong, such as Night & Day, and It Had to be You.
(On their website they feature two lead vocalists, guitar, banjo, ukelele  and harmonica, saxophone, clarinet and flute and double bass.)
All arrangements remain the same, tickets are still available, and are £10 for adults, £6 for under 18’s, and are available via email  LVH@lintonvillage.com.  We look forward to seeing you!
We have emailed everyone who booked tickets to ask if they’d like to keep them for this band. If we haven’t heard from you, we will release the tickets for others.
If you didn’t receive an email, and you would like to come, please email to keep your seats.  Many thanks.
Tickets £10  under 18’s £6 from LVH@lintonvillage.com

Please bring cash with you, and car share where possible, and thank you for supporting local live music!

Remi Harris and Tom Moore  ‘Jazz and Blues’

Friday 7th June 7pm

Acclaimed jazz and blues guitarist Remi Harris and virtuoso double bassist Tom Moore present an evening of music ranging from the acoustic jazz of the 30s and 40s to the electric blues of the 60s and 70s; influenced by such greats as Django Reinhardt, Peter Green, Wes Montgomery, Jimi Hendrix and more.

From the age of seven Remi has dedicated himself to a life of guitar. His playing has taken him from busking on the streets of his local towns to performing at many prestigious events and venues around the world, including the Montreal Jazz Festival, Buckingham Palace, BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall with Jamie Cullum, and on national radio and television.

Remi has been performing with Tom for over ten years, during which time they have developed a remarkable musical affinity. Since graduating from The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Tom has performed around the UK and has appeared at prestigious venues including the Royal Albert Hall and The North Sea Jazz Festival, and more recently supporting Jools Holland.

The show features an eclectic mix of jazz and blues standards, original compositions, improvisations and new arrangements of familiar tunes. Remi plays a variety of acoustic and electric guitars. The ease and warmth of Remi’s stage presence, together with his virtuoso talent, will have concert goers captivated by his passion for the guitar.

“He’s an absolutely extraordinary musician”

Jamie Cullum, BBC Radio 2

Email LVH@lintonvillage.com for further information and to reserve your seat. Tickets are just £15 for adults £6 for under 18’s. Doors open 6.30pm, band on 7pm. There will be an interval at this performance, and Cash Bar selling our usual decent wines and beers, with local crisps from The Two Farmers. A wonderful night awaits!
